Trappen in de val die verwachting heet…

Some older tracks from me this time.
Trappen in de val die verwachting heet
These were released on the Lomechanik double album Ruis voor thuis/Iets met biets.
The versions here are different mixes and I added another section in Trappen.
A remix I did for some Dutch indie band. As far as I know, it was never used. I wonder why?
If you speak Dutch, you might be able to figure out the name of the band through the track title.
They’re not worth mentioning

For this one I made dense blocks of sound that move slowly as a whole but still have many different smaller gestures and details inside. To make space for these smaller things I tried to make the blocks as large as possible, in an acoustic sense (with spatially wide & surrounding sound) but also in the sense of them developing slowly and articulated. Loud. 23′

I have the honor of making the first post and I’d like to share some music I made in Japan.
Last year me and Jak had a residency at Youkobo Art Space. During our stay we also took part in an outdoor exhibition called Trolls in the Park.
My contribution to the exhibition was a sound performance with my trusty singing bowl, some contact mics and different found objects. I also incorporated some audio fragments taken from interviews my friend Yuko Kotera did with visitors in the park.
Here are two tracks I was able to extract from my recordings:
For two days a group of children from the nearby elementary school visited the exhibition for a small art tour.
I explained them a little about my set up and performance and also invited them to make some sounds.
During all the ensuing chaos I managed to record a few minutes:
